Verification

VERIFICATIONS

Verification is the process by which we check academic documents for authenticity. All documents are reviewed internally by our partner. Some documents, however, require additional verification. Please read through the options below carefully.

Secondary School Studies (High school)

High school diplomas and certificates issued in Haiti, Vietnam, and the Dominican Republic, as well as all WAEC and NECO results, require additional verification.

Post-Secondary Studies (Universities)

All post-secondary studies completed at foreign colleges, universities, and other academic institutions require additional verification. For example, this requirement includes associate, bachelor, master, doctoral, and even incomplete university or college-level study completed abroad.

Students can arrange for their foreign university or college to send their official transcript(s) directly to SpanTran: TEC by mail or by email. We will provide more instructions by email after you submit this application. You can submit a scanned copy of the documents to start the process, but the evaluation will only be released upon receipt of official transcripts.

If that is not possible, applicants can choose to use our Document Verification Service (DVS) for an additional cost. Our verification specialists will then contact the foreign university or college to authenticate the documents. You must provide a clear copy of the foreign documents in order to use our verification service. Please note that verification response times vary by country and by institution. For this reason, the time needed to verify your documents is independent of the evaluation “Turnaround Time” mentioned earlier in this application. In many instances, however, we can release your evaluation while verification is in progress.
