About Floridian Institute
Floridian Institute is a DBA for Floridian College, Corp. a registered Florida Corporation owned by Mrs. Edith Perez MSN, RN and Dr. Jesus A. Perez.
Floridian’s owners have been educators all their lives. Originally from Cuba, they have always been touched by the need of others and a calling to be of service. Dr. Perez holds a Doctor of Medicine Degree from ISCMH University in Habana, Cuba. Mrs. Edith Perez holds a Master of Science Degree in Family Nurse Practitioner.
In 2014, they opened Health Education and Research Institute (HERI) offering NCLEX RN/PN exam preparation, and general test taking strategies.
Since 2014, HERI has provided preparation for the NCLEX examination to students that have felt unprepared or failed the first-time attempt. Over this period of time, HERI has assisted more than 1000 students and is proud to say have achieved a proven 95.5 passing rate. Most of those students come from many of South Florida’s institutions currently under probation by the Florida Board of Nursing. Those same students are the ones that have requested Dr. and Mrs. Perez to open an educational institution where they feel confident to pursue their BSN.
Floridian Institute opened with the commitment to assist ADN graduates from institutions under probation or that have closed, accepting their transfer of credits as long as they are in compliance with the Florida Department of Education. Dr. and Mrs. Perez are confident of their educational methodologies and are happy to take these students to a higher level of academic standards.
The Hemodialysis Technician program also fulfills a community need, given that there are very few schools in Miami-Dade County that offer this program. This makes Floridian Institute the only one in Kendall and one of the four BONENT-approved training programs in the state of Florida.
Floridian is offering their programs at an affordable cost that gives students the opportunity to obtain their education at a portion of the cost, compared with most private institutions offering the same programs in Florida.
